Abstrakt anglicky: Triterpenes are naturally occurring compounds which can be found in almost all living organisms. Thousands of them were isolated from natural sources and had promising biological activities. For a better understanding, how molecules prepared earlier in our research teams selectively kill cancer cells, we decided to study their behavior in cells. In order to evaluate it, we developed a methodology for the preparation of triterpene conjugates with fluorescent dye. Our synthetic strategy was inspired by our recent success with conjugation of triterpenes with biotin on solid phase. BODIPY-FL® was chosen as a suitable fluorescent tag due to its immense spectroscopic properties such as high quantum yield, low photodegradation and strong absorption in the visible part of the spectrum.
