Course Guarantor

Pavel Hradil

Form of course completion:

Exam

Annotation:

Knowledge acquired in the master study about the synthesis and reactivity of key heterocyclic compounds both aromatic and non-aromatic character will be broaden. In practical cases, the biological activity of various heterocyclic molecules will be shown.

The most important group of drugs will be discussed:

  • CNS drugs (antipsychotics, antidepressants, analgesics, hypnotics, anti-allergics and other substances of this group)
  • Agents acting on the autonomic nervous system
  • Agents acting on the cholinergic system
  • Agents acting on the circulatory system and blood
  • Drugs acting on the urinary and digestive system
  • Anti-infective agents
  • Antitumor chemotherapeutics

Besides the mentioned drug as well as other biologically active substances both natural and synthetic will be discussed.
